American artist Jason Bard Yarmosky focuses his research on the physical and psychological process of aging. Due to a historical and consolidate glorification of youth, our today society is marked universal fear of body mortality. With his paintings, Yarmosky attempts to redirect our attention and interest to the very physiological process of getting older. Through the self-awareness and humor of his models - his grandparents are very often disguised as superheroes and wear colorful wigs - along with the crude hyperrealism with which he depicts physicality of elderlies, Yarmosky sheds light on how people decide whether or not to deal with time passing.
